I just wanted to send this slideshow of the curly some on this board helped rescue to send to Freedom Hill to start a new happy life. This guy is a real character ! Personality plus...I think he should have been a dog. He sure acts like one. He is curious, sharp as a tack, loving and tempermental in an adolescent sort of way. He was afraid of the farriers metal box of tricks but as soon as we removed that from the equation he settled down to have his shoes (he had 4 small barium shoes on...we think for driving) removed and get a trim. He was very nervous about his right rear and started sweating and frothing while he was being done. Of course we were gentle him and he soon stopped fidgeting around and actually held his foot up to be done.... as afraid as he was he did really really well. I could see his brain working. He knows he can trust us but he was afraid he would be hit. That never happened and he was a happy camper when he was done with it all. This guy is truly special :)
